| Villa
Raphael in Bonita Bay,
Bonita Springs
As
its name implies, Villa Raphael combines architectural
influences from Andrea Palladio and the Italian Renaissance
period with Addison Mizner's reinterpretation of neoclassical
Mediterranean styling found in early-century Palm Beach
homes. Riche keystone detailing on columns, arches,
window surrounds and balusters, and triple Palladian
windows used throughout the home combine to deliver
this classical architectural appeal.
The
home also incorporates numerous gardens and fountains,
including a circular fountain at the entrance court
and three cascading fountains just inside the home's
entry. A large courtyard with gardens and opposing fountains
serves as a focal point from two guests suites, while
an ornamental lion's head fountain is visible from the
master bedroom picture window.
The family room is one of the most interesting rooms
in the home. Expansive walls of glass, curved floor-to-ceiling
windows and ten-foot-high sliding glass doors frame
the entire room, yielding maximum views of the golf
course and lake outside. Set in the middle of the "glass"
room is a custom, built-in entertainment center with
motorized television unit, which elevates when in use.
Many
other unique features have incorporated into Villa Raphael,
including a butler's pantry equipped with a complete
set of kitchen appliances, a full bar, exercise room,
outdoor cooking center, twin garages, a masonry fireplace
with keystone mantel, paneled library with wainscoting
and extensive wood detailing, marble flooring, coffered
ceilings in the living room, dining room and library,
symmetrically positioned aquarium glass windows overlooking
the pool and lanai, and a private spa and arbor area.
Villa
Rapheal is a four-bedroom, five-and-one-half bath home
with a 5,222-square-foot living area and more than 10,000
square feet total. |
