Villa Amalfi at Bonita Bay, Bonita Springs

The original Villa Amalfi, this model was named for the town in southern Italy on the Gulf of Salerno and draws heavily from Mediterranean architectural design. The exterior emphasizes symmetry, incorporating keystone crown and frieze, arch portico, reflecting ponds, keystone columns and arched windows. Opposing two-car and one-and-a-half-car garages frame each side of the home.

Inside Villa Amalfi are two octagonal rooms - a library and formal dining room. The octagonal ceiling of the library, or leisure room, incorporates decorative wood inlay. A built-in television unit is positioned in front of a fixed wall of glass. The attached lanai includes a sun terrace and a full outdoor kitchen with refrigerator and grille.

Across the marble foyer is an elevated living room with a sloped tray ceiling overlooking the raised lanai, pool and fairway beyond. Beneath the living room's fixed glass window, a bubbling fountain flows into the infinity-edge pool, which is framed by keystone pavers and lush planters. A pool-side cabana suite with full bath is positioned to offer a sweeping view of the fairway.

A full butler's pantry, located between the kitchen and dining room, includes granite counter tops, a sink and a refrigerated wine cooler. The kitchen contains a SubZero refrigerator, granite counter tops, an island with vegetable sink and caramel-stained maple cabinets.

The master suite features a radial glass wall overlooking the pool area, a separate retreat, a master lanai with spa and trellis above, spacious his-and-her closets and vanities, a sunken shower with multiple brass shower heads, a Roman tub and private water closet. Each guest bedroom has a private bath and walk-in closets.

The four-bedroom, five-bath home contains 4,712 square feet under air and a total of more than 8,224 square feet. Other special features of the Villa Amalfi include a dining room buffet, extensive crown molding, keystone corbels, ten-foot keystone columns, a fireplace and authentic Palladian windows.
