Villa Cortona in Shadow Wood at The Brooks, Bonita Springs

Rich, Tuscan-inspired architectural details that showcase the drama of this custom estate home can be found through the Villa Cortona model.

The architectural style of Italy's Cortona provides the inspiration with essential elements that are immediately evident from a first glance of the home. There are generous accents of keystone details on arches and columns that allude to the elegant drama that awaits within the home.

Beyond the front portico and through the mahogany-stained double entry doors, the main gallery affords a panoramic view beyond the dining and living rooms to the lanai, pool and championship golf course. Villa Cortona exudes elegance with its palette designed to incorporate Florida's environment, with sunny yellows, golds, melons, and aubergine found in stunning sunrises and sunsets. Serving as the centerpiece of the living room is a braided stone fireplace. The dining room with its mahogany table is ideal for intimate dinner parties, with six elegant teak and cane chairs within spacious surrounds, yet cozy enough for friends and family to mingle. A hand-painted mural, tray ceilings and three arches with columns adds to the home's Italian heritage.

Beyond the 20-foot wall of pocketing sliding glass doors is the lanai with its spa and disappearing edge pool.

Off the front portico, the drama continues to the master suite, which is a showcase of deep purples and muted yellows. The lighted tray ceiling and mitered glass window complement the room's serene ambiance. In addition to the spacious sitting area that views a private garden, pocketing doors open to the master lanai with views of the pool and spa. Through double doors is the master bath, which includes a marble shower with glass that overlooks the private garden. The marble Roman tub provides a relaxing getaway.

Through double French doors is the library, a showcase of literature. Its rich maple pecan-stained wood and coffee glazed built-in shelving and cabinetry are accented with a bamboo wood floor. The ceiling provides added warmth and visual interest with its custom paneled inset tray. Additional comforts include an under-counter built-in refrigerator and television.

The main gallery also offers access to Villa Cortona's two guest suites, each with their own private baths. Past the guest suites is a utility room, complete with an under counter Asko washer and dryer. At the end of the gallery hall is convenient access to the two-car garage. To provide balance to the exterior elevation, a one-car garage is positioned opposing the two-car garage.

The kitchen is the centerpiece of culinary creativity with its granite countertops and under cabinetry lighting. The island, with a sink for added convenience, is accentuated with columns on the four corners. The Dacor smooth cook top and SubZero refrigerator provide the ideal tools for cooking masterpiece dishes. A seemed copper hood over the cook top provides a touch of Old-World styling. A built-in desk with a window adds to the room's functionality. Steps from the kitchen, is the breakfast area and a sunken wet bar with all the elements needed to serve refreshing beverages. The butler's pantry includes a wine cooler and bread-warming drawer.

The leisure room has 90-degree floating corners of glass that open to the lanai with its outdoor kitchen. There is plenty of space for alfresco dining and entertaining.

Off the leisure room are double doors, which open to the cabana, complete with a full bath and easy access to the pool area.

Villa Cortona has 4,500 square feet under air and 7,010 total square feet in a spacious design that includes four bedrooms, four full baths, one half bath, covered lanais, dual garages and veranda.
